Elizabeth Wyatt believes that embodied experience extends a daily invitation to explore connections between the physical world and subtler “big picture” realms. She finds great joy in movement of body, mind, and spirit, bringing to her instruction over 16 years of Yoga practice, 14 years of classroom teaching, professional skill in writing and the arts, and over 28 years of athletics and dance. The practices of Yoga and rigorous self-study have helped Elizabeth heal and grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. From this process, she has gained knowledge and compassion that she is moved to share through holistic work.

First trained in Hatha Yoga instruction with Yoga Therapist and Kundalini teacher Tina Makris (Sat Ardas Kaur) at Anahata Yoga and Wellness, Elizabeth currently studies at The Soul of Yoga Institute’s Advanced Yoga Studies and IAYT-accredited Yoga Therapy program. She is also certified at Reiki levels I and II.

Seeking balance between intuition and logic has led Elizabeth down many different roads, and she often returns to writing and music. She holds an M.A. in English and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of California at Irvine, and studied literature, creative writing, and vocal performance at Southern Methodist University.

A former marathoner and mountain runner, classically trained dancer and vocalist, and Ph.D. candidate in literature and critical theory, Elizabeth has spent many years cultivating separate skills of mind, body, and expression — her efforts unify in the Heart. She lives in Joshua Tree in part because she is super stoked on rock climbing–the play between ether and earth! She also owns/directs Sacred Spiral Adventures, a Yoga and outdoor guiding company in Joshua Tree.
